Its Michelin Outdoor Extreme rubber sole offers 25% better abrasion-resistance as well as 43% improved traction in rivers and on wet stones. Orvis made the sole wider than most boots to provide better stability when the water's pressing against you, and there are twelve attachments for studs for even greater traction when needed. The Phylon midsole maintains shock absorption while the Orthlite footbed offers cushy comfort. A PU-cage increases structural integrity underwater, and the Clarino microfiber lining dries quickly when you're hiking back to the car. Orvis reinforced the upper with scratch-resistant rubber at the toe.
